WAKO Odisha, officially known as the Amateur Kickboxing Association of Odisha (AKAO), is the official governing body responsible for the promotion, development, and advancement of amateur kickboxing throughout the State of Odisha.

Established in 2012, the Association functions under the guidelines of WAKO India and is recognized by the Sports & Youth Services Department, Government of Odisha, and the Odisha Olympic Association.

Driven by the core values of Strength, Discipline, Fitness, and Excellence, WAKO Odisha is committed to inspiring young athletes, promoting healthy and active lifestyles, fostering sportsmanship, and building a strong, inclusive, and vibrant kickboxing community across the state.

The Association provides a structured pathway for athletes through professional coaching, technical education, talent identification, referee and coach development, and the organization of district, state, national level championships. These initiatives enable athletes, coaches, referees, and officials to enhance their skills, compete at the highest standards, and achieve sporting excellence.

WAKO Odisha remains committed to creating equal opportunities for boys and girls, encouraging greater participation of women in sports, and promoting inclusivity across all age groups and communities. The Association actively supports the development of Children, Cadets, Juniors, Seniors, Masters, and Para Kickboxing athletes, ensuring that every participant has the opportunity to grow and compete at the highest level.
